At Head, Heart, and Soul, we are acutely aware of the evolving landscape of leadership within the spheres of educational systems, nonprofit organizations, and the corporate world. These sectors, while distinct in nature, share common challenges, including the need for innovative solutions, fostering inclusivity and equity, and the expectation of leading in an increasingly digitized world. Our organization exists to guide leaders through these shared challenges and to be a steadfast ally in their journey.
Our mission is both simple and transformative -
to cultivate leaders capable of melding intellectual acuity, emotional intelligence, and an unwavering dedication to a purpose larger than themselves.
Our story starts with a singular vision and a commitment to leadership excellence by our founder, Dr. Jayson Strickland. His early experiences in his family's preschool sparked a passion for leadership and value in community, while lighting his entrepreneurial spirit. Dr. Strickland later served in key positions in traditional and charter school settings, from educator to building leader, to Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to Executive Director, Deputy Superintendent, and Superintendent. In each of these roles, he confronted a harsh reality: too many leaders, particularly in organizations serving people of color and communities impacted by poverty, are underprepared and under-supported in systems that are not evolving to meet today's challenges.
Recognizing the shared struggles faced by leaders across settings and sectors, Dr. Strickland embarked on implementing a holistic approach to developing executive level leaders. Now our mission is both simple and transformative - to cultivate leaders capable of melding intellectual acuity, emotional intelligence, and an unwavering commitment to a purpose larger than themselves.
We understand the transformative power of community connections. Head, Heart, and Soul operates predominantly through referrals, which has allowed us to build a robust network of individuals bound by a shared commitment to leadership, integrity and progressive thinking. This growing community is a vibrant mix of educational leaders, business executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders from various sectors, each committed to enhancing their leadership capabilities.
Through Head, Heart, and Soul, we are dedicated to offering leaders across educational, nonprofit, and business sectors a community of like-minded professionals, and a trusted external resource for consultation and executive-level coaching.
